This Safety Incident Policy establishes mandatory procedures for identifying, reporting, investigating, and responding to safety incidents involving Couriers. Its objectives include:
Protecting users, couriers, and the public
Reducing negligence and liability exposure
Supporting insurance claims and underwriting
Demonstrating reasonable care and risk mitigation
This Policy applies to all Couriers during:
Active deliveries
Travel to or from pickup or drop-off
Any activity reasonably connected to Platform services
A Safety Incident includes, but is not limited to:
Vehicle accidents
Personal injury
Property damage
Theft or loss
Physical altercations
Harassment or threats
Law enforcement involvement
Hazardous material exposure
Upon any Safety Incident, the Courier must:
Prioritize personal and public safety
Contact emergency services if necessary
Secure the scene
Notify the Platform promptly
Preserve evidence
Cooperate with investigations
Failure to report is grounds for termination.
Upon notification, the Platform may:
Temporarily suspend the Courier
Collect statements and documentation
Notify insurers
Coordinate with law enforcement
Assess ongoing risk
Suspension during investigation does not imply fault.
Investigations may include:
Review of GPS and app data
Witness statements
Photos and videos
Police reports
Insurance documentation
The Platform reserves sole discretion in findings.
Outcomes may include:
Reactivation
Mandatory retraining
Permanent deactivation
Reporting to insurers
Reporting to authorities
Couriers must:
Provide truthful statements
Respond within required timelines
Submit documentation
Attend interviews if requested
Non-cooperation may result in permanent deactivation.
Couriers acknowledge:
Personal insurance is primary
Platform insurance, if any, is secondary or limited
Failure to maintain insurance may void coverage
Claims must be timely and accurate
Incident information is confidential and may be disclosed only to:
Insurers
Law enforcement
Legal counsel
Regulators as required
Couriers will not be retaliated against for good-faith reporting of safety incidents.
False or malicious reports may result in disciplinary action.
This Policy is enforced strictly to:
Demonstrate reasonable care
Reduce foreseeable harm
Protect the Platform legally and operationally
This Policy does not guarantee:
Prevention of all harm
Coverage for all losses
Continued access to the Platform
The Platform may update this Policy at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
